Ogden Sierra Club -- Adopt a Roadless Area
Middle Fork
This unit consists of interspersed National Forest and State lands along and above
the Middle Fork Ogden River.
It is a designated wildlife management area, mainly for elk. Access
is prohibited from January 1 until April 15, but several good
hiking trails provide for nonmotorized recreation during the rest of the
year.
Issues affecting this unit include:
- Possible new land acquisitions as part of a proposed land exchange.
- Hiker access from Powder Mountain.
- New developments at Powder Mountain.
- New developments in Ogden Valley.
