Middle Fork

This unit consists of interspersed National Forest and State lands along and above the Middle Fork Ogden River. It is a designated wildlife management area, mainly for elk. Access is prohibited from January 1 until April 15, but several good hiking trails provide for nonmotorized recreation during the rest of the year.

Issues affecting this unit include:

• Possible new land acquisitions as part of a proposed land exchange.
  

• Hiker access from Powder Mountain.
  

• New developments at Powder Mountain.
  

• New developments in Ogden Valley.
